When Louisiana Tradition Meets Laguna Madre Views
Our annual crawfish boil returns to The Landing’s waterfront: Certified Cajun Approved, priced by the pound, and done the only way worth doing.
Some traditions can’t be rushed. Real crawfish boils aren’t orderly affairs measured in courses and wine pairings. They’re joyful celebrations where perfectly seasoned mudbugs pile high on communal tables, cold beer flows freely, and the afternoon stretches as long as the company is good.
On March 7th and 8th, The Landing transforms into Louisiana for the weekend. At $12 per pound served with corn and taters included – this is authentic Cajun tradition priced the way it’s always been done along the bayou: honest, generous, and done right. It’s a cultural experience that has earned its certification from the most discerning critics: those who grew up knowing the difference between crawfish done right and crawfish done wrong.
If you know, you know. And if you don’t know yet, you’re about to discover why generations of Louisianans have made the crawfish boil their favorite excuse to gather, celebrate, and savor the moment.
Certified Cajun Approved
That’s not a marketing badge: it’s a hard-earned distinction. Louisiana’s most exacting judges, the Cajuns and Creoles who grew up pinching tails and sucking heads at backyard boils across South Louisiana, have given their approval. When they say it’s done right, you can trust every spice-soaked bite.
The Experience Awaits
Picture this: the sun warming the Corpus Christi bay, a cold beer sweating in your hand, and the unmistakable aroma of perfectly seasoned crawfish wafting across our waterfront deck. Your sleeves are rolled up, your hands are getting messy, and you’re surrounded by friends old and new, all engaged in the ancient art of crawfish consumption.
These aren’t ordinary crawfish. Each batch is slow-boiled with the perfect balance of cayenne, garlic, lemon, and traditional Louisiana spices refined over generations. At $12 per pound, the crawfish arrive at your table hot, spicy, and so tender the tail meat practically falls away at a gentle pinch—with sweet corn on the cob and perfectly boiled new potatoes already in the mix. Want to round out the spread further? Add-ons are available to build your order exactly how you like it.
The Landing’s full bar keeps cold beer and specialty drinks flowing, while our bartenders, some of the finest in South Texas, ensure your glass stays full and your spirits stay high. This is coastal dining at its most authentic: casual enough to get your hands dirty, refined enough to appreciate every carefully crafted detail.
Order what you need, share with the table, go back for more. There’s no clock to beat here, just the natural rhythm of a crawfish boil done right, against one of the most beautiful backdrops the Texas coast has to offer.

Why This Weekend?
Early March is prime time on the crawfish calendar. The season is in full swing, the mudbugs are fat and full of flavor, and the Corpus Christi coast is at its most comfortable: warm enough to enjoy the waterfront, cool enough to make a steaming pile of crawfish feel like exactly what the moment calls for.
Running from noon until the last sack’s empty both Saturday and Sunday, the format is simple: order by the pound, settle in with good company, and let the afternoon take care of itself. It’s Louisiana hospitality with a Texas twist: straightforward, generous, and centered around the simple pleasure of great food.
